Cantorelli is giving a concert in Hope Baptist Church, New Road, Hebden Bridge on Saturday 5th May at 7.30pm.
The programme, ‘Madrigals and Motets from Europe’, is a journey across mainland Europe through six centuries of sacred and secular choral music. Beginning in France in the 15th century and ending in France in the 20th century and taking in Germany and Spain in the 16th century, Italy in the 17th and 18th centuries and Norway, Germany and Hungary in the 19th century. It includes music by Palestrina, Monteverdi, Victoria, Brahms, Grieg and Poulenc.
Admission to the concert is £8.00 (Concession £5.00 and full-time students £1.00) payable on the door.

Halifax Chamber Choir is giving a concert in Holy Trinity and St.Jude’s Church, Free School Lane, Halifax on Saturday 19th May at 7.30pm.
The programme includes songs from all periods which have the subject of birds and beasts in them beginning with early English, French and Italian madrigals and moving through time to include songs from the 19th and 20th centuries by Mendelssohn, Stanford and the Norwegian composer Ola Gjeilo.
